Sir Philip Pullman

On Sunday, October 8th, 2017, Professor Fred Ehrlich, renowned medico, academic and community figure, was told that he only had a few weeks to live.
Having agreed to write his memoir only the day prior to this news, I grabbed my phone and notepad and rushed to St Vincent's Hospital. I sat by Fred's bedside as he shared his life story, and his reflections on the world and his family. I visited him daily for the next ten days—an experience that was both challenging and deeply inspiring. It was an honour to be part of this journey, and I take great pride in the memoir that emerged from it.
"I am beyond grateful for the incredible memoir that Adrianne has written about my father. Her compelling writing style perfectly captured the essence of his persona and the key moments of his life with remarkable clarity and depth, weaving them together in a way that felt both intimate and respectful. She not only brought his story to life, but did so in an intelligent and thoughtful way, with every detail presented with sensitivity and respect. In doing so, every member of the family was thrilled with the final result.
Her ability to understand my father on such a deep level and translate that into writing is truly remarkable. It was a monumental task, to document such a rich and complex life in such a short period of time, yet she handled it with such skill and care. I can’t thank her enough for this wonderful legacy she has created for our family. It’s a gift that will allow us to honour his memory and keep his story alive for generations to come."

From our very first meeting, it was clear that Marie Manstoff's life story was extraordinary.
A friend working in aged care introduced me to this remarkable centenarian. While Marie's original intention was to document the experiences of her late husband, Alf — an RAF airman whose wartime bravery, capture, and daring escape in World War II merited a story of its own — I urged her to consider that she, too, had a compelling story worth telling. What followed was a collaborative journey that became 'Love in the Blitz', a memoir that not only brings Marie’s vibrant personality to life but also captures her formative years in London’s East End, and the decades that followed.
In many ways, Marie is a witness to many important historical events of the last century, and hopefully, if I've done my job well, 'Love in the Blitz' reads like an action movie script.
"I was very happy with my experience working with Adrianne on my memoir. The process was deeply satisfying, and it brings me great comfort to know that my family - and future generations - will have a lasting record of not only my life, but also my husband's remarkable experiences in World War 2 and beyond."

The first stage is the interview process. In our initial meeting, we’ll discuss your story, your vision for the memoir, and the most suitable package. Together we will embark on one-on-one, gentle and engaging conversations where your story will begin to shape itself with care, respect and authenticity.

Stage two focuses on shaping and writing your memoir. I will highlight the key themes and events of your life in the most engaging way, taking care to reflect your voice and your values. I'll then create a draft for your review and make any necessary revisions.

Stage three focuses on designing and formatting your memoir and creating a unique artwork of your choice for the cover. I will also incorporate artefacts such as photographs, letters and other primary sources that are precious to you.

The final (and most exciting) stage is printing. I partner with trusted professional printers who offer a custom-designed, professionally printed and bound book. Your memoir will become an enduring gift for future generations. Now it's time to share your story!
